Guidelines for 3 minute thesis presentations

If your abstract has been selected for poster presentation, you will need to produce a one slide power point presentation and it is recommended that you provide a handout of your presentation to the audience.

During the 3-minute thesis sessions, PhD students will present their thesis topics within 3 minutes, using a single PowerPoint slide. Participants must engage the audience putting into practice their academic, presentation, and research communication skills. This presentation will be followed by 2 minutes of questioning time from the judging panel.

Presenters will also need to prepare a one-page handout explaining the research project. If your abstract has been selected for 3 Minute Thesis, you will need to produce both a one power point slide and a handout of your presentation.
